After years of travel, I've come to appreciate the fine art of packing and I am slowly learning how to pack a suitcase and how to pack lightly. Nowadays, luggage comes in many sizes and shapes and makes and models.
There are a number of companies that can be looked up to for good luggage bags. You could mark your luggage with ribbon, so when the luggage is coming through the conveyor belt you won't be looking for a specific type of luggage but rather a particular type of ribbon on the luggage. Many bags are specially designed to occupy less space and to carry more options for carrying.
Packing light and carrying your luggage on the plane saves time and you don't have to wait for your bags or worry about losing them. One such item is made by Samsonite, called their Spinners. Items like blow dryers are not necessary, considering most hotels come with one.
The most important packing tip for vacations is to plan ahead. Some are a bit more difficult to figure out.
